Duncan - West Coast Kimchi

Come and learn how to make Kimchi with Toby Rae, Registered Holistic Nutritionist and avid fermenter at the Island Savings Centre in Duncan! 

Kimchi is a spicier version of Sauerkraut with an asian twist. It is a fermented condiment that is easy to prepare, inexpensive and a delicious was to include healthy probiotics into your diet.

In this workshop, you will learn step by step how to make Kimchi by preparing it together as a group. You will get to take home a jar of Kimchi, along with a handout including step-by-step instructions, recipes and information on the benefits of ferment foods.

This class includes hands on learning, tasting and demonstrations as well as nutritional education on the benefits on fermented foods and probiotics for health.
